Items Needed

THANK YOU to all that have provided items needed for Backyard Bible Clubs.  It’s so amazing to see how faithful this body of believers are to needs.  I huge need that we have is support.  Because of the price of tickets our trip is much more expensive this year.  We are in need of about $5000 to complete the trip and be able to pay translators and their expenses while in the interior.  We are praying that God will lay this amount on someones heart and help with this cost.  God has always been faithful to us each year and provided and we have no reason to believe that he won’t  this year.  Please be in prayer with us.  We are looking so forward to  July 6.  Really I am looking forward to July 8 when we are on the ground in Rio Branco.  We have developed so many friendships there and I look forward to the all the hugs and excitement that will come on that day.  This year is going to be so different without the Epps there to lead the way for us.  Bruce has done a great job in meeting weekly with a Brazilian Pastor in Destin and learning so much of the language.  He can carry on a conversation and figure out most of what is being said.  I am sure that there will be bumps in the road but just pray for us to be flexible (the Brazilian way of life) and always ready to change plans without getting upset.  Continue to check back for more updates. 

Brazil 2008

July 6-July 21 -  WOW it is approching fast.  This year our team is Bruce and Rhonda Baber, Joe and Theresa Gordon, Dennis and Brandi Seay and Bill Dydra.  Jo and Dave Marcott will be heading up our prayer here at home.  They have been great in encouraging and helping up prepare to go.  We are so excited about going to The Interior of Acre, Brazil.  Please be in prayer for our team as we prepare to go and also be in prayer for the unreached people groups of Acre.  This year we will be doing Backyard Bible Clubs, Prayer Walking Feijo (A city with no Acre Baptist work going on) and Home Church Training. Dennis and Brandi are heading up the Backyard Bible Clubs, Joe and Theresa will be leading Home Church Training, Bruce and Rhonda will be doing Pastoral Care and Strategy planning.  Bill will be going to map out his summer for next year.  Hopefully he will be on location as a summer missionary from Emmanuel.  Continue to look for updates and Prayer request.
